Are you an experienced Copilot Studio expert looking to help shape enterprise AI capability within one of Queensland's largest technology environments?
We're seeking a Senior Copilot Studio Technical SME / Developer to join a high-performing Power Platform team on an initial 6-month contract. This is an opportunity to play a key role in establishing enterprise AI delivery practices while remaining hands-on with the latest Microsoft AI technologies.
The Opportunity
Working within a large and complex enterprise environment, you'll provide technical leadership and hands-on development expertise to help mature Microsoft Copilot Studio as a core enterprise capability.
You'll work closely with architects, security, governance, delivery teams and business stakeholders to establish scalable AI delivery patterns, governance frameworks and reusable solutions that support long-term enterprise adoption.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Act as the Copilot Studio Technical SME within the Power Platform team
- Provide technical leadership across AI agent design, development and implementation
- Develop reusable AI delivery patterns, standards and reference architectures
- Provide technical assurance across internally and vendor-delivered AI solutions
Copilot Studio & AI Development
- Design and build enterprise-grade Copilot Studio agents
- Deliver conversational AI solutions using prompt engineering and orchestration techniques
- Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems via APIs and Microsoft technologies
- Support testing, deployment and transition into production
Governance & Security
- Establish governance and guardrails for enterprise AI delivery
- Ensure solutions align with security, compliance and information management standards
- Advise on responsible AI, knowledge management and monitoring practices
- Manage AI-specific risks including hallucinations, data exposure and compliance
Capability Uplift
- Mentor and coach internal development teams
- Help establish sustainable delivery and support models
- Improve enterprise AI maturity through best practice adoption
- Collaborate across architecture, security, delivery and governance teams
About You
You'll be an experienced Microsoft AI specialist who combines deep technical capability with the ability to guide enterprise AI adoption.
You'll bring experience with:
- Microsoft Copilot Studio
- Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse)
- Azure AI Services and Microsoft AI Foundry
- Enterprise conversational AI and prompt engineering
- REST APIs, enterprise integrations and solution architecture
- AI governance, security and compliance
- DevOps and ALM for Copilot Studio solutions
- Coaching and mentoring technical teams
Experience working within large enterprise or government environments will be highly regarded.
