The opportunity

Edison Talent is recruiting an experienced Bookkeeper for an accounting practice in Brisbane.

You will work across a varied portfolio of business clients, keeping their accounts up to date and managing bookkeeping and payroll from start to finish. This is a role for someone who enjoys working directly with clients, solving problems and helping businesses get more out of Xero.

Alongside your client work, you will work closely with the accounting team, review work prepared by junior team members and help coordinate offshore workflow. You will also contribute to improving systems and growing the practice’s bookkeeping services.

What will you be doing?

• Managing bookkeeping across multiple clients, including bank, GST and balance sheet reconciliations

• Processing payroll and superannuation, completing STP finalisation and responding to payroll queries

• Preparing Business Activity Statements, Instalment Activity Statements and other required reports

• Assisting with financial statements and management reporting alongside the accounting team

• Liaising with clients, accountants and the ATO

• Providing clients with Xero training and helping improve their bookkeeping processes

• Reviewing junior team members’ work, providing feedback and assisting with offshore team coordination

What are we looking for?

You will need at least two years of Australian bookkeeping experience, including experience working within an accounting firm. You should be comfortable managing multiple clients and confident communicating with business owners and senior staff.

You will also bring:

• Xero certification or at least one year of practical Xero experience

• Xero Payroll certification and the ability to independently process client payroll

• A Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or a relevant undergraduate qualification

• Experience using Xero integrations such as Receipt Bank, Hubdoc or Deputy

• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

• Experience reviewing work or guiding junior team members

Experience with third-party payment gateways and payroll applications will be highly regarded.

We are seeking an experienced ICT Procurement Specialist to deliver strategic sourcing and commercial advice for a multi-year modernisation project.

The project spans digital platforms, AI and automation, data and knowledge, service assurance, and operating model and workforce change.

Working within a team of ICT Procurement Specialists, you will report through ICT Strategic Sourcing while being embedded in the project, ensuring procurement activities align with governance requirements, delivery priorities and commercial objectives. The role may also support non-ICT procurement activities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing strategic sourcing approaches and contributing to the project procurement strategy.
• Undertaking procurement planning, market research and engagement, and refining specifications, statements of work and deliverables.
• Developing tender documentation and evaluation plans, and managing tender and evaluation processes.
• Developing, negotiating and managing ICT contracts using QITC frameworks, including contract documentation and schedules.
• Providing commercial advice and managing supplier performance, payment milestones, variations, extensions and contractual issues.
• Managing scope and change controls and identifying, managing and escalating commercial risks.

Skills and experience required:

• Practical experience developing, negotiating and managing ICT contracts using QITC, including defining contractual deliverables, acceptance criteria, payment milestones and supplier obligations.
• Experience delivering strategic ICT procurement outcomes across sourcing strategy, market engagement, tendering, evaluation and commercial negotiation.
• Experience managing complex ICT or professional services contracts through delivery.
• Practical experience applying the Queensland Procurement Policy 2026 (QPP 2026) to procurement planning, sourcing, evaluation and contracting.

Experience supporting complex, multi-year transformation projects, working within a procurement team embedded in a project, and sourcing digital platforms, AI and automation, data services or professional services will be highly regarded.

Project Manager – Data & Technology Projects

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of data and technology projects within a complex enterprise environment. This role will oversee projects and technical work packages from initiation through to closure, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality requirements.

Working within established Agile, PRINCE2 and MSP governance frameworks, you will coordinate project activities and resources, manage risks and issues, maintain project schedules and budgets, and ensure appropriate governance, assurance and reporting practices are in place.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and coordinating project activities, resources and budgets to achieve delivery outcomes.

• Developing and maintaining project schedules, plans and required documentation.

• Managing project governance, assurance, risks, issues, dependencies and change requests.

• Engaging with senior stakeholders, business areas, project boards, technical teams and suppliers.

• Developing communication, organisational change management and benefits realisation plans where required.

• Providing direction and support to project teams and managing resource allocations.

• Monitoring project progress and providing timely, accurate reporting to stakeholders.

• Ensuring project administration and delivery activities comply with organisational policies and procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will hold a PRINCE2 Practitioner certification and have demonstrated experience delivering enterprise data platform, data management, data integration or data analytics projects. 

Experience delivering multiple application or commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) projects in a complex Agile environment is highly regarded, along with an awareness of data and warehousing platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake or Databricks.

Experience across both public and private sector environments is also desirable.

You will bring strong stakeholder engagement, planning, financial management and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex project environments and drive successful delivery from start to finish.
