The opportunity

Based on the north side of Brisbane, I’m working with one of Queenslands top employers on an initial 9 month contract with likely extensions for an experienced SQL DBA to join an established team.

Working on cloud strategy and Database capabilities, you will be required to provide Database and Administration support for SQL Server databases, application development and projects.

 

What we are looking for

• We are looking for an experienced DBA with extensive commercial experience in the below technologies;
• SQL Server DBA - SQL Clustering, backup and recovery, monitoring, maintenance, SSRS, SSIS and Patching
• AWS infrastructure - SQL Server, other DB types (Postgres/Aurora), supporting infrastructure, EC2, RDS, FSx and S3
• Azure Infrastructure - SQL Server and Azure managed databases
• Oracle on Exadata/Data Guard/Clustering/Containers/OCI
• Assist in the design and implementation of Database Backup, High Availability and Disaster Recovery technologies
• Advise and provide recommendations and solutions regarding future direction, technical support and issues resolution for Database related infrastructure and services.
• Develop & enhance procedures and processes within the Database Services team to improve the level of service provided to clients.
