About the Role

An experienced Data Modeller is sought to join a key Program of Work. This role is pivotal in developing foundational definitions for the Master Data Assets and the successful candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders, transform business requirements into data models, and support the enterprise data architect in achieving critical business and technical outcomes.

 

Key Requirements

  • Analyse existing data schemas and establish foundation definitions of Master Data Assets.
  • Transform business requirements into data assets and common models, documenting all data elements, synonyms, lineage, and business rules.
  • Develop and maintain the Data Dictionary and Meta Data Library.
  • Identify and resolve issues in current state source data.
  • Represent data as conceptual, logical, and physical models, defining relationships between rules and data objects.
  • Maintain data models and define data modelling and design standards.
  • Reverse engineer legacy physical data models and transform them into target models using Information Architecture principles.
  • Use contemporary tools to generate models and import/export models to target environments.
  • Experience in large and complex ICT programs.
  • Previous experience as a Data/Information Modeller on a large Business Analytics and Data Platform Program.
  • Strong understanding of contemporary data/business intelligence technologies and enterprise-level data governance/management.
  • In-depth experience as a Data Analyst or Data Modeller in the data and analytics field.
  • Knowledge of data platform and data modelling principles and schema.
  • Proficiency in data modelling principles and using semantic models and business intelligence tools.
  • Experience in database administration and software development tools and scripts.
  • Foundational knowledge of mathematical concepts and statistical analysis.
  • Experience with data modeling tools like Power Designer and Spark EA, or cloud-based data modelling tools.
  • Experience with cloud-based data transformation, DevOps, and DevOps pipelines.
