We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our Data & Analytics function on a 7-month contract. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the availability, performance and optimisation of enterprise data platforms, including the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Microsoft Power Platform and business intelligence environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong data professional who thrives in complex environments and can quickly add value across architecture, operations and stakeholder engagement.

 

About the Role

In this contract position, you will:

  • Support the availability, reliability and performance of EDW, Power Platform and BI solutions
  • Act as a technical liaison between development teams, technology operations and business stakeholders
  • Investigate and resolve data and analytics incidents within agreed service levels
  • Contribute to development, testing and implementation of data solutions
  • Apply and uphold architecture standards, performance optimisation and code review best practices
  • Monitor and optimise Power Platform health, including gateways, performance, licensing and capacity
  • Support governance, compliance, security and audit processes
  • Assist in business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing
  • Ensure data security requirements are maintained across platforms
  • Identify opportunities to leverage new Microsoft platform features and enhancements

You will develop a strong understanding of the full data lifecycle — from source systems through to EDW structures and reporting outputs.

 

About You

Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate), including administrative capabilities
  • SQL Server (2008 or later)
  • Experience with Azure Analytics Stack (ADF, Azure Data Lake Storage, Databricks) — highly desirable
  • Strong SQL, DAX and Power Query skills
  • Understanding of dimensional modelling and ETL principles
  • T-SQL scripting (stored procedures, functions, etc.)
  • Experience testing ETL and reporting solutions
  • Exposure to MDX (desirable)

Non-Technical Skills

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
  • Ability to work independently and deliver outcomes within tight timeframes
  • High level of accountability and attention to detail
  • Collaborative and solutions-focused mindset
